Trials and Tribulations of the Earl of Banham. A novella

May 15, 2017 by kmromance

If you will remember Pritchard’s plight at the end of Behind the Marquess’s Mask, someone had been making off with his cargo. While it was a nuisance then, it is even more troublesome for him three years later, when his story takes place. Oh, and the title Drake mentions with dread in Changing the Earl’s Mind? Well, that also comes into play, along with Pritchard’s Amazonian moneypit, as Grey had put it. So then, a little thieving seems to be a minor annoyance when one has both an earldom and a mistress whose beauty is the envy of all London.

Right?

The problem is, things are not always as they seem, and what might be a boon to some, is quite the bother to our hero.

This novella grants me the pleasure of introducing Miss Cecilia Hunter, Pritchard’s mistress, and, quite frankly, the only woman in the world who could manage him. She’s a woman with her own secrets and hidden talents, the kind of woman who would enter into a most unconventional arrangement and scour the city for coveted works of art for her collection. She’s the kind of woman who would try to steal the Rosetta Stone–that one didn’t work out quite as she would have hoped. Yes, Miss Cecilia Hunter is a most interesting woman.

In researching for this book, I found myself at the Canary Warf in London, where I visited the Museum of London Docklands(which I highly recommend). Here are a few photos I took there that helped inspire the story of the shipping merchant turned aristocrat, Archie Pritchard.

I will let you know when this novella will be available as soon as I can. I hope you enjoy will this little side story into Archie Pritchard’s trials and tribulations. If you haven’t yet read the other books in the series I encourage to you pick them up. While they aren’t necessary for understanding Archie’s story, they do give you little teases regarding his character, and some insight into the other characters you might meet.
